Those were J-Dirts words to me after missing the second stinkin set of my bench and stripping the bar and throwing crap. and other stuff.
Cycle 3 week 3 Bench
1) Bench
bar x 12
60 x 8
70 x 5
80 x 5 (75%)
90 x 2 (85%) missed the 3rd rep (even though last week's 95 x 3 was easy?)
so I didn't bother with the 100 x 1+ (95%)
J always wanted to play the organ for a rolleramma type place since he was little. So he set his goal, and would practice everywhere he could, from malls (when no one was looking) to people's houses, until years later he landed a gig at Guptles.
ok, his story didn't help at all, and had nothing to do with powerlifting and not progressing. but it made me smile. I'm quitting Wendler's 5-3-1 after Friday. I really cant handle 3 heavy days in one week. I need to mix and match more. So I will give it some thought.
